I love this photo, hubby and I were in Robertson – South Africa – last summer, sampling the good wines and generally chilling out. This lake was so inviting and I could just see us floating on the river, sun high in the sky, one hand trailing in the water, and one hand with glass.
Sadly, I can’t be sure of the name of the Winery where the lake can be found. I think it was Springfield Estate.

I saw you on optie’s blog, and just realised that I wasn’t getting your updates. Love the photo, but don’t know how to follow you again>
Hi AD,
have a good weekend
I’ve not posted since this last blog. Life kind of took me over! hope to be back soon and catch up with you all. I’ve got 200 posts to catch up with
Hahaha. That’s nothing. I had about 500 when got back from Jo’burg.
Have a great weekend. xx
Doesn’t really matter which winery, the whole area is just so beautiful. Obviously, as a South African, I really, really like this post!
Ah I can just picture relaxing on that lake!
That is gorgeous! You should frame it.
The photo really captures the tranquility, really lovely!
Looks lovely and dreamy – until the boat capsizes and you have to swim for your life? Unless the lake is ankle deep in which case you can probably just relax?
LOL!
I love boats. Can’t see one without wanting to get floating.
If she gives you some lip, she’s serious about it!
A VERY good way to spend a lazy summer’s afternoon
That looks so nice and chilled, perfect scenery for a weekend
Yes, it does look like Springfield. Very serene.
That looks peaceful, the boat, a bottle, a picnic…..
It looks so calm and serene!!
Simply beautiful!
So tranquil. Lovely …
Stunning setting
O makes me want to float away.
Beautiful scenery! I could get in one of those boats and float away in it:-)
