Chocolate awards

So, you  may have read a previous blog where I was in dire need of chocolate, my mind that is, not the old waistline. If not, not to worry, I’m sure there will be a time in the not so distance future when I’m in the same predicament and feel the need to tell you about it.

Anyway, today, my first day back at work after a couple of weeks on leave, what do I find but 4 bars of chocolate at my desk. They be gifts from my employer, who let’s be fair here clearly has me confused with somebody else, a notion not so daft when when you consider they were given as a form of thanks to employees reflecting the following points:

  • Teamwork
  • Passion
  • People Centricity – I have no idea what this is, even though it was explained
  • Transparency

Between you and me mind, I think I got them after somebody whispered, “shame, you’d better leave that sad faced woman a few if only to prevent her wailing.”

  1. I never understood the “people centric” concept either… until I saw this post. Now I understand. Giving chocolate to employees makes happy employees. 🙂
